I have been honored to watch GSE rescue several elephants and bring them to sanctuary. To watch them flourish and grow makes my heart happy. I've watched Scott and Kat interact with them and they are so kind and respectful to their well-being. Everything is at the elephants pace, not the sanctuary, or ones own expectations...they are an amazing group that does nothing but what's in an elephants best interest. Every time they get a new arrival/rescue we watch from beginning to end. I donate as often as possible as well. Highly recommend GSE!

I have witnessed several elephants get rescued from various poor "living conditions " and brought to this sanctuary. Watching these magnificent creatures experience freedom, ( some who have never been outside of a concrete pit) is the most amazing thing to watch. They grow emotionally, make new friends, and get to live out the remainder of their lives like an elephant should..FREE...or at least as close to it as possible. Watching them interact with other elephants, some for the first time in decades, is the most heartwarming thing one could see. EST is amazing. Their staff is incredible. What stands out for me is that the public isn't allowed. They are there to enjoy life to the fullest...no longer on display.
