Although we live in a time when there is more food available than ever before, hunger is the leading cause of health problems.
Over 1 billion people, or about a sixth of the world population, are malnourished. And six million children die of hunger each year.
There are over 50,000 nonprofit organizations working to eliminate hunger and break the cycle of poverty - and you can help them do it. Whether you hand out food stamps, work at a food bank, or help at your local ministries, you, too, can make a difference.
