I am 82 years old and had, had 3 compression fractures in my back. These are extremely painful. My Primary care Doctor diagnosed me with osteoporosis and referred me to a rheumatologist for Prolia shots. The cost, after my Medicare HMO paid a lot but, not enough for me to afford the shots. I heard about The HealthWell Foundation from a friend called them and found I qualified for their assistance. With their help I am having my 3rd Prolia shot in November. My last Dexa Scan showed I responded well to the treatment and had actually started to rebuild bone , not just stay the same. Thank you HealthWell foundation for helping me improve and avoiding much pain.
