I’ve been a big supporter of the Elephant Sanctuary in Howenwald, Tennessee for some time now. Shirley was my favorite elephant prior to her passing. The elephants they take in have lived a life of isolation, some neglected, and some treated unkindly by their owners. They deserve to live their lives free of cement walls and bull hooks. The Elephant Sanctuary gives the elephants freedom, food, medical care and beautiful land to roam freely. Nothing is forced on them. They are completely free. Imagine that. Thank-you Elephant Sanctuary, caregivers and volunteers!
