I discovered this wonderful nonprofit years ago, while looking for elephant related gift ideas. I read all about their mission, dedication to giving elephants a place to reside that mimics their original habitat, and desire to provide elephants from zoos, circuses and other captive programs a better place to spend their remaining years--and I was hooked! This is one if my very favorite charities, and I mention it to whomever I can when appropriate. I love that they've got the elephants' best interests at heart, rather than making them a "sideshow".... these amazing animals deserve the very best care, and this nonprofit gives it to them!
